From DJBooth.net
“Underground buzzmaker HaLo has hooked up with DJBooth.net and Jamla Records to bring fans his latest street release, The Blind Poet.
The follow-up to this February’s acclaimed Heat Writer II, the project is a tribute to the great blind African American musicians. Included on its tracklist is reader-approved leak “Lines.”
Joining HaLo on the guest tip throughout The Blind Poet are 9th Wonder, Skyzoo, Charlie Smarts, Rapsody, Sean Boog, Thee Tom Hardy, Median, GQ, Sundown and Big Remo. Production comes courtesy of 9th Wonder, Khrysis, AMP, E. Jones, Eric G., Fatin, Sinopsis, Vitamin D and Kash.”

Here’s a video from NC emcee Elevator Jay. Thee Tom Hardy put me onto this dude. Jay is a QC representative and I’m glad to see that NC’s hip hop scene is producing talent in all of its cities.
The video below is probably my favorite of the stuff I’ve checked out. His whole team comes strong here. Plus its a 9th beat.

-This is a Doppler image from Saturday, April 16th; the day of the Pour House show in Raleigh, NC. Each one of those purple lines is a Tornado. As you can see NC was severely hit by these storms. Our thoughts go out to all who were affected. The storms forced us to cancel the Jam.
-With that being said, the show must go on, and we have re-scheduled the Pour House show for Friday, June 24th. Mark you calendars, it should be a show to remember.
Met the homie DJ Quiz last night. Make sure you hit up djquiz.com and check out his ‘Quiz Knows’ interview series. Here is the one he did with our friend and NC representative Thee Tom Hardy.
